Jan Ferrante
Executive Director

Jan has been the Executive Director of the Oregon Chiropractic Association since it was founded in 2008. Before that she was the Executive Director for the Chiropractic Association of Oregon (CAO) for seven years. She has been a Certified Chiropractic Assistant for over 30 years and a Licensed Insurance Adjuster since 1990. Jan was CAO Chiropractic Assistant of the year in 2003 and 2004. She has taught DC and CA continuing education around the state as well as at CAO conventions in the past. She taught “Understanding Automobile Insurance Terminology and the Injured Patient” (2001-2002) and the “ABC’s of Being a CA Professional” (2004). Jan grew up in Portland and is married to Dr Don Ferrante, past OCA President.

Anna Benedict
Administrative Assistant

 Anna was introduced to the Chiropractic world in 2010 when she started working in the office with a DC in Clackamas. Anna has lived in Oregon her entire life. She embraces a healthy lifestyle and loves working for the OCA.

Kira Richards, CA
Affiliate Outreach, Web-site & List-Serv

Kira has a background in Chiropractic as a Chiropractic Assistant, Community Outreach and Program Director. She has worked in offices providing communications, marketing, customer service, and new business development support. Her focus has been on field presentation, public relations work, Web site maintenance, Marketing Communications and creating reproducible systems and procedures to make offices run more efficiently . Kira has attended “Masters Circle” Parker, 5 Star and many other Chiropractic seminars and training. She recently presented for the “OCA’ on Chiropractic Philosophy and Systems (June 2012) for the Chiropractic Assistant renewal class. Kira is committed to lifelong learning with a focus on expanding her knowledge of Chiropractic. Kira has a eight year old daughter, Jaiden.

Laverne Saboe, Jr., D.C.
Government Relations

Dr. Saboe has been lobbying for the profession since 1981 when he was selected as the first chiropractic physician to act as “Doctor of the Day” at the state Capital. It was that experience that prompted him to lobby for and gain the “Chiropractor of the Day” program in 2005 which included a completely equipped chiropractic treatment room. Dr. Saboe is a Past President of the state association, currently servers as Oregon’s Delegate to the ACA, and is the recipient of numerous professional awards including the association’s “Chiropractor of the Year” (2003 -2005).

Daniel Miller, D.C., C.C.S.P.
Journal Editor

Dr. Miller was the editor for the Chiropractic Association of Oregon (CAO) journal and continues that roll for the Oregon Chiropractic Association.In 2004 he was named Young Chiropractor of the Year by the CAO Board. He has practiced in Woodburn since graduating from Western States Chiropractic College (now University of Western States) in 1994 emphasizing on post-traumatic rehabilitation and sports injuries.
