Dr. Macris is a graduate of Portland State University and Western States Chiropractic College (WSCC). At WSCC he studied neuromusculoskeletal conditions and took a special interest in the holistic aspect of chiropractic care. In treating the human body as a whole, he follows the philosophy that all of the body’s systems are inter-related and should be addressed as such. To complement this, he is very much a believer in an allied healthcare approach to medicine and welcomes the opportunity to work with other healthcare practitioners in order to best serve the needs of his patients. While at WSCC, Dr. Macris also completed additional training in sports medicine. Some of the conditions that Dr. Macris is qualified to diagnose and treat include: headaches, neck and low back pain, disc herniations and derangements, sciatica, TMJD (jaw dysfunction), otitis media, postural fatigue syndrome, shoulder impingement/dysfunction, tennis/golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, hip pain/dysfunction, plantar fasciitis and other muscle/fascial disorders, arthritis, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, inflammatory diseases and conditions, work and sports-related injuries, automobile injuries, whiplash, on the job injuries, hypertension, sinusitis, and many others.
Referral information is supplied solely by chiropractic providers themselves and is not checked or warranted by the Oregon Chiropractic Association (OCA). Chiropractic providers who register as an Oregon Chiropractic Association Member pay specified annual membership dues. They are put on the Chiropractic Referral List as part of their membership benefits. Any and all chiropractic members who request to be listed on the Referral List are listed and, as a general rule, no one is excluded.
THE OCA DOES NOT RECOMMEND OR ENDORSE ANY OF THE LISTED CHIROPRACTIC SERVICE PROVIDERS. The OCA is not a health care provider, and does not give medical advice or treatment. The OCA offers the Referral List as a resource for patients looking for a chiropractic provider. However, the OCA does not pre-screen or pre-evaluate the facilities or providers in any way before they are put on the list. Nor does the OCA pre-screen, pre-evaluate, or consider the Medicare/Medicaid status of these providers. You are responsible for interviewing and selecting a suitable provider. Therefore, you should contact providers directly for relevant information, such as information on insurance coverage or specific techniques and services.
The OCA does not verify the credentials or licensing of any of the chiropractors before they are listed. If you wish to obtain a provider license status, please go to the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners website.
