Dr. Anthony DeSiena has passed away
Hi all:
I received a call this morning to the OCA office that Dr. Anthony DeSiena of Eugene had passed away on Sunday night (10/25/09). I have now confirmed this information to be true from a number of docs in the state.
Dr. DeSiena was a current member of the OCA and a past member of the CAO. He was very well liked and respected by not only the other docs in Eugene, but across the state of Oregon. I personally enjoyed talking to him at association events and on the telephone.
Dr. Don Ferrante (our Co-President) expressed his sincere sympathy to his passing and to his son, stating that, "he will be missed by all of us."
Dr. Charles Koch said that Dr. DeSiena was a very important part of the Eugene chiropractic circuit.
Dr. Alan Smith said he was a "good friend" and was shocked to hear this news as he had just spoken to him on Saturday.
Dr. Sunny Kierstyn referred to him as their, "gentle giant...quiet and big, but always there," and, "his humor was delightful when expressed."
Dr. Vern Saboe expressed his sadness at hearing the news yesterday.
He will be missed by those in our profession who knew him and by his patients.
Please feel free to leave a comment or submit a news article with your personal condolences, feedback, and stories that you might like to share about Dr. DeSiena.
So far, I have not heard when of if there will be any service, but we will try to post that info if we are notified in a timely manner.
