Strawn v. Farmers Insurance — OCA MEMBERS LOOK TO SEE IF YOU ARE STILL OWED MONEY
Over the past years I have continued to remain in contact with James Crane the attorney that handled the Strawn vs Farmers class action suit. This lawsuit came about from reductions made to health provider billings and the LAWSUIT WAS WON — Farmers has now paid the judgment that has gone through numerous appeals etc. and checks have been issued to doctors that have returned the paperwork that was sent to addresses on file.The original list that I have had for many years now was approximately 35 pages long. The list attached here is 8 pages long and consists of Chiropractors and other health care provider names. If your name is on the attached list — this means that you have not yet returned your paperwork to receive your settlement dollars.
From a separate list that I have had for many years now — the amounts range from as small as $1.49 up to several thousand. Please take time to open the attached excel sheet/ document and look to see if you are listed there. If you are — them I have copied/pasted the instructions below — as to what you need to do to collect the money owed you.
SOME DC’S ARE LISTED BY NAME — SOME BY CLINIC NAME !!!!If you find your name on the list — please let me know that you are contacting them — so you can save me the time of trying to reach you by phone. I am committed to getting all of our members paid. THERE ARE ALSO MANY NON-MEMBER NAMES ON THE LIST ALSO and I may reach out to those offices after I do my part to help our own members.

Members of the Oregon Chiropractic Association submitted claims for compensation in the class action lawsuit, Strawn v. Farmers Insurance Co.¸ et al., in 2004. The appeals of the case have concluded, and Class Counsel is distributing the judgment awards to approved claimants. Many healthcare providers have already received their distributions. However, Class Counsel has been unable to contact many others, who are listed on the attached excel sheet (list).
Please take a few minutes to review the list. If you are on the list, please do the following in order to receive your payment:
1.Complete and return the Class Distribution Verification Form that was sent to you.
2. If you have not received a Class Distribution Verification Form, please contact the Class Administrator at (800) 245-5097 and select the menu item that will tell you how to have a Verification Form sent to you. Or, you can write to Strawn Class Administration, PO Box 3560, Portland, Oregon 97208-3560
If you are not on the list but know someone who is, please ask them to look at this announcement so that they may obtain their distribution. If you know someone on the list who is deceased, please have their personal representative or next-of-kin contact the Class Administrator.

IT APPEARS MY OLD CLINIC IS ON THE LIST AND IT APPEARS THE LAWSUIT COVERS THE TIME THAT I WAS IN THAT OFFICE. I CALLED THE NUMBER ABOVE AND LEFT MY INFORMATION. IS THIS ALL THAT IS NEEDED TO BE DONE AT THIS TIME?
